The next day we woke up at 6:15am (not happy about that)and had continental breakfast. After that we went into mammoth cave the biggest cave in the world. The next day we went to Hidden River Cave national park and the American Cave Museum. Sadly we did not go into Hidden river cave. Luckily, we got to explore the museum, test the water and, repel and zip line. For lunch we went to Turtleinis Italian Cuisine. Finally on the last day we ventured home to Michigan while making a stop at big bone lick state park. Kentucky was astonishing we hope to go again.
All in all Kentucky was spectacular! The bus ride up (A nine hour ride) was very boring unless you had some sort of entertainment like a book, MP3 player, ect. Once we had finally gotten to the hotel, at one in the morning everyone collapsed on their beds. Some where so tired they did not bother to change.

Today we visited Horse Cave Kentucky. Horse Cave isn't actually a cave anymore. They changed the name of Horse Cave to Hidden River Cave in the 40's. The area is called Horse Cave. Sadly, the cave was flooded so we didn't get to go into the cave. Though we did get to explore the American Cave Museum. This included the zip line, repel, the actual museum, the original Thomas house and, we got to test the water.
The zip line and repel we're the most exhilarating. Even though the zip line and repel were the most action packed, all of the activities were very interesting. We tested the PH in the water of the cave and the dissolved oxygen. For lunch we went to Turtelini's pizza and Italian cuisine. We hope that you come here for a visit! Today we explored Mammoth Cave National Park. It was a tremendous experience. Mammoth Cave is the longest cave system in the world- about 400 miles have been explored. We only went through two miles of this ginormous cave. Near the entrance there were two bats. One of which was still there as we came out of the cave.
In the 19th century Stephen Bishop lead very famous tours of Mammoth Cave. He discovered most of what the cave is today. Parts of the cave are still being discovered over the years. People from all around the world would come to Mammoth Cave for Stephen Bishop's tours. We had a great time in this cave and we hope that if you seen it, that you come to see the tremendous cave |
